We are developing techniques to improve the accuracy and productivity of persons with movement disorders such as pathological tremor and athetoid cerebral palsy when using personal computers and powered wheelchairs. These involve both filtering for smoothing input signals, and prediction of user intent in order to reduce the time required for target acquisition (e.g., icon-clicking).
